Lynnette has a philanthropic passion for social justice, supporting her local community and finding creative solutions for enriching lives. She has 30 years experience gleaned across the fields of Rehabilitation Counselling, Quality Assurance and Policy and Procedure Development, Retail, Meal Ministry, Grant Writing, Event Management and Online Sales and Fundraising within the not-for-profit, disability, employment and retail sectors. Since 2014 Lynnette has worked for Wollondilly Anglican Church, heading their Meal Ministry for six years before moving into an Event Management role, both of which occurred concurrently with Fundraising activities to support both of these roles. During covid, the Fundraising activities evolved into Lynnette establishing an online op shop, allowing her to maintain and further develop relationships with the community in which she works. With the support, and encouragement, of that community, Lynnette opened a storefront Op Shop in June to increase the opportunities to connect with the community.
In her roles, Lynnette has many opportunities to gather anecdotal information about how the community exists in the real world, and subsequently gives feed back to Rev Stephen Swanepoel and the church's ministry leaders.
Lynnette holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Rehabilitation Counselling) from The University of Sydney.
Lynnette considers making small but significant impacts to people's lives as a job well done.
